tl;dr A strong community is a resilient one — with a healthy economy, strong relationships, and the readiness to face challenges together. That's the Apex I believe in and the one I'll help build.
Hi, Apex. It's me, Andre. I was just thinking about my time at Peak Academy. It gave me a front row seat to how our town works. You know the how the sausage is made part. It opened my eyes to new opportunities and helped me to have more meaningful conversations with friends, family, and other neighbors about how we can make Apex even better. I've seen neighbors step up for each other, lending a hand, sharing their time, and even looking out for each other. Even when we disagree or find ourselves on opposite ends of the political spectrum, we have to remember, left or right, we're still neighbors, and we love our town.
That's the Apex spirit I want to grow through better communication, so everyone knows what's happening and how to get involved. That means reaching out to new residents, young families, and long-time neighbors alike, so no one is left out. When I think about building a connected community, I think about our schools and our teachers. My brother-in-law is a teacher, not in this county or this town, but I'm always amazed by the impact he has on the students and his community. While school decisions happen at the county level, I'll speak up for Apex so our schools get the attention they deserve, and I believe we should explore creative solutions to support our teachers and our students.
