tl;dr Apex is growing, but with growth comes challenges. As an active member of the community, I know what it takes to overcome these challenges. I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work making this town one of the best in North Carolina.
Hi Apex, I'm Andre. And just like you, I call this town home. As Apex continues to grow, we're facing old challenges, and some new ones. I see them as opportunities. Opportunities to work together, to listen to each other, and to build a better Apex, together. And we won't always agree, but that's okay. Our differences are a strenth, not a weakness.
Change is constant, and how we prepare for it makes all the difference. Take the new Children's Hospital. It's proof of how desireable Apex has become. It's going to bring more jobs, but also more traffic, and a higher demand for homes and schools. Growth is coming one way or another, so let's make sure it reflects our values. And I believe we can keep Apex's small-town charm even as we grow. The truth is, we haven't been a small town for a while. So how do we continue to grow without losing what makes Apex feel like home? That's the mindset that should be behind every decision.
To me, leadership is more than a title. It means setting aside personal bias to do what's right for the whole community. You're probably heard people say, "I'm not a politician." Well, add me to that list. Hear me now, and believe me later. I'm not a politician, but I am your neighbor. And I want to serve Apex with integrity, empathy, and with a steady focus on what helps the most people, not just what benefits the loudest voices.
